Netscape Communicator

Netscape Communicator for OS/2 4.04 (40-bit Encryption) (IBM PTF XR_1404) This fixpak will only apply to the 2/99 version of Netscape 4.04 for OS/2 (commonly referred to as version 000006). To see if you have this verion, on your version of Netscape, pulldown the HELP and then ABOUT COMMUNICATOR. On the BLUE frame bar you should see "Version 4.04 [en] - 990212". If you do not see this, you need to upgrade to this version first. To install the fixpak, create a temp directory, change to the directory and unzip the fixpak, XR1404I.ZIP, using the -d parameter to create directories (pkunzip2 XR1404I -d). Enter 'INSTFP' and it will start the fixtool and begin the fixpak installation process. Note: 1 - This FixPak will be installed using Corrective Service Facility (CSF) 2-B Version 1.41. The fixtool (US) is included in the zip file and will be located in the Tools directory created when the fixpak is unziped. Note: 2 - This FixPak is language independent and should install on all language versions. If you want to use a different language fixtool, copy the contents of the prefered language fixtool diskette into the Tools directory prior to fixpak installation. This FixPak is intended to upgrade only LICENSED instances of Netscape v4.04. As such, its use is limited to the license agreement under which you obtained the original licensed copy.
